We are very excited to announce that Megan Clifton has accepted the position of Assistant Director of Registration. Megan attended HOBY Maine in 2012 as an ambassador and was a Junior Facilitator in 2013. She has been volunteering with HOBY Maine long before attending however helping her Mom (Sydney Clifton, Corporate Board President) with behind the scenes organization and managing registration packets. Now that Megan is 18 she is able to take on a more official role and more responsibilities. She will be taking care of all things related to registration at the seminar and ensuring all operations supplies are ready to go! Megan is a Senior at South Portland High School and will be attending University of Maine in Farmington in the Fall.
When asked why she enjoyed volunteering for HOBY Maine she said: "I'm inspired to volunteer with HOBY because of the change that I get to see in the new ambassadors as well as the change that I have seen in myself since my ambassador year. I also love to help with organizing stuff so helping with HOBY is something fun, life changing and cool to be involved in. HOBY has also helped me make new friends as well as reconnect with some old friends! It's a program that I don't know who I would be today if I hadn't gone through it."
Her favorite leadership quote is: "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I'M POSSIBLE." -Audrey Hepburn
Welcome to the 2014 Team Megan!
