Alumni of the Month - November 2011
Crystal Archibald
Crystal attended HOBY Maine in 2010 as the ambassador from Deering High School. After completing the seminar she volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club 6 days a week helping kids to learn how to swim and helping the older kids improve their skills. She also mentored children after school through the Big Brother Big Sister Program.
When asked what she would like to tell others about her HOBY experience, she said "HOBY is the experience that no one understands unless they have been through it. It may only be for a couple days but you leave with so many experiences that you can never forget. They give you the tools to shape you into the best possible student and human being that you can be and ways to pass along your knowledge to all your friends."
