We are excited to announce our 2014 seminar will be held on the campus of University of Maine in Farmington. Planning, fundraising and recruitment are well underway for this exciting and important weekend.
Every high school in the State of Maine is invited to select at least one outstanding member of their Sophomore class to attend our program. For more information on how to register please contact Sophia Mitropoulous, Director of Recruiting (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Here is what some of our School Partners have to say about the HOBY Maine Experience:
"The HOBY Maine program provides our sophomore's with a fantastic opportunity to explore and develop their leadership abilities, and gives them the confidence to incorporate those skills into their school and community. Undoubtedly, our students return to school with a fresh perspective on what it means to be a leader and the energy to make things happen!"

"As teachers and administrators from Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner, Maine select students to participate in the HOBY Leadership Seminar yearly, they are encouraged to choose students that have the potential, competence, and knowledge to grow through the skills that will be provided from the conference leaders.
When students return to Gardiner from a HOBY seminar they have gained the confidence to be positive catalysts for change, not only at school but throughout their community. Students come back believing they can make a difference and they are prepared with a plan. Most students begin practicing their plan with their friends and then self-select to be leaders through participating as a class or organizational officer. Through the many years of participation every student from our school has had a positive experience."
